Styling Oversized Clothing

College Drea was all for the skinny jeans and fitted tees. I used to go to Underground Atlanta and buy them during my breaks from class. Not only were they affordable but they make me look GOODT. A little form fitting outfit never hurt nobody. But now, I’ve learned that it isn’t only fitted clothes that can make you look good. Baggy clothes can add new shape and more drama to an outfit. It can give super chill casual vibes but also very chic look.

THRIFTING WILL BE YOUR BEST FRIEND

Although thrifting should already be your best friend, you will love it even more. But unfortunately there is no guarantee that you will find your size at a thrift store. So it’s probably in your best interest to learn out to style those button ups and large jeans that you always see. I find so many cute jeans thrifting that neeeever fit. But because I am not afraid to go a little bigger, I have so many options for what I can buy.

YOU CAN SHOP IN THE MEN’S DEPARTMENT

If you aren’t pulling items from the men’s department then you are missing out. I have found so many cute items. But in order for me to actually fit them they would need to be an XS. But getting a small or medium tee or button up is okay! They look perfect with high waisted jeans.

BAGGY ON BAGGY

My favorite oversized look it a baggy shirt with baggy jeans. The cool casual look is a total vibe. It goes perfect with a sneakers or high heels. Jeans that don’t fit at the waist are perfect for this. Let them just rest on your hips for a relaxed fit. Pair with a button up that’s about 2 or 3 sizes to big, tuck on side into the jeans or pocket. Finish off with bold earrings and shoes. And you’re all set!!

Since my knee is acting up, I go for sneakers or flats. I paired my black Target slides with a pair of thrifted jeans. The striped short is from the men’s department at F21 and the tee is by Standard Attire.
